Quit your job
Everybody is always talking about a lack of skilled professionals. Yet we hold thousands of talented programmers hostage in crappy, unfulfilling jobs. Jobs where no one actually cares about the work done, where there is no opportunity to learn or to grow. Once properly demotivated it becomes incredibly hard to see the many amazing opportunities our profession has to offer.
In this talk Daniel will try to convince as many people as possible to quit their jobs and take a look at what else is out there. He will provide examples from his own career as well as some concrete criteria for evaluating your current job from a different perspective. Additionally, he will offer suggestions for less radical things to experiment with to get more enjoyment out of your programming.
